Tom is a Woodbury resident at Fawn Meadow Lane residing with his beautiful wife, Anna, and rescue dogs, Toby and Cole.

A retired police officer (with a combined total of 50 years of full and part-time service) from both the Town of Watertown (Ret. Lieutenant) & Town of Woodbury. George served his country during the Vietnam War as a corpsman (combat medic) with the US Navy, and also serves as a Bethlehem EMT.George was a member of the Bethlehem Republican Town Committee before moving to Woodbury.
Thomas Amatruda

Thomas Amatruda graduated Watertown HS in 1978 and UCONN in 1982, receiving a BS in Civil Engineering.
After college he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force. He had many posting including the Pacific, Europe, and lastly the Pentagon in Washington DC.
After leaving the Air Force he worked as a Department of Defense contractor in the D.C. area.
With a growing family, he and his wife Lisa moved back to CT and he took over the family local business in Woodbury.
Tom became active in many local organizations such as the American Legion. He is currently the Chairman of Zoning Commission.

Charmaigne Samoska

Charmaigne has called Woodbury home for 36 years and has a longstanding commitment to the community through civic involvement, education, conservation, and volunteer service.
With a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and an Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Environmental Management, she began her career as a research chemist in the pharmaceutical and metal-finishing industries before moving into environmental, health, and safety management.
Her experience includes serving as a Director of Environmental, Health and Safety and working as an industrial environmental consultant.
For more than a decade, Charmaigne has worked individually with clients in holistic wellness and energy-based practices. She is a Reiki Master Teacher, holds certifications in Advanced Reiki Techniques and Bioenergetics, and is a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals.
Charmaigne is also a published children’s author with a love of history and storytelling.
She is a frequent contributor to civic publications, writing on conservation and local environmental issues. Her service to the Woodbury community spans decades. She currently serves on the Woodbury Conservation Commission, is a member of the Pomperaug Valley Garden Club, and volunteers with programs at the Woodbury Public Library. Her longstanding work with children and families has included serving for eight years as President of Greater Woodbury Home Educators, as well as volunteering as a Beth/Wood Girl Scout Troop Leader and a Litchfield County 4-H Leader.

Vania is a Woodbury resident, Nonnewaug High School graduate, and science educator with a strong interest in education, conservation, and community involvement.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arizona State University, with a concentration in Ecology and Conservation Science, and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Secondary Education at Western Connecticut State University.
Vania currently teaches sixth-grade science to middle schoolers, where she enjoys creating an engaging learning environment and helping students develop an interest in science through hands-on learning. She has also worked in healthcare administration, giving her experience working with patients, families, and the public.
She is a member of the Connecticut Science Teaching Association and has successfully completed the Praxis II examination in Biology. With her background in science, education, and conservation, she brings the perspective of a young professional and future Connecticut educator to the Woodbury Republican Town Committee.
