Woodbury Community Invited to Festive Shamrock Social
In the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day and the strong community traditions that make Woodbury special, the Woodbury Republican Town Committee invites residents to an evening of fellowship and conversation at its upcoming Shamrock Social on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Woodbury Senior Community Center, 281 Main Street South.
The festive gathering promises good food, great company, and even better conversations as neighbors come together to celebrate the season. Guests will enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere, share a variety of delicious dishes, and have the opportunity to meet fellow residents while making new connections.
The evening will also provide an opportunity for residents to meet Woodbury’s newly elected Republican Town Committee members and speak with current members of local boards and commissions, who will be on hand to share their experiences serving the town.
Woodbury currently has several vacancies on local boards and commissions, and organizers hope the event will encourage residents to learn more about how they can become involved. Serving on a town board or commission is a meaningful way to give back to the community, contribute ideas, and help shape the future of Woodbury.
Current volunteers will be available to answer questions and discuss the many rewarding ways residents can participate in local civic life.

The Shamrock Social will also feature remarks from State Representative Karen Reddington-Hughes, who will provide updates from Hartford and discuss legislative issues affecting the 66th District. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with her and hear firsthand about current developments at the State Capitol.
Woodbury residents are warmly encouraged to stop by, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and discover the many ways neighbors can connect and contribute to the vitality of their community.
