Memorial Day 2022

This year the WRTC honors our fallen heroes with a wreath laying in our town cemeteries and marching in our annual parade.  Our fallen son and daughters, husbands and wives, fathers and mothers gave so much. Our annual remembrance is the least we can do for them.  Never forget our freedoms were paid for with a heavy price.  Never take our freedoms for granted or we will lose them and their sacrifice will have been in vain.

Woodbury Republicans cast votes at CT GOP State Convention

On May 6th and 7th, at Foxwoods Casino, state GOP delegates gathered to choose Republican candidates for all state offices this November.  For Governor, all our delegates unanimously supported Bob Stefanowski as our next Governor.  Connecticut badly needs to break the cycle of one party rule in our state.  For Secretary of State, our delegation unanimously supported Dominic Rapini.  Rapini went on to secure the party’s endorsement over two other well qualified candidates.   We need a Secretary of State who will make our elections secure and avoid the opportunities for fraud like we saw in 2020 with Covid excuses used to foster lax election integrity.  Your Woodbury delegation supported Peter Lumaj and Lenora Levy for U.S. Senate.  We felt these two candidates better represented the conservative voice many are looking for in Washington.  Both of these candidates gathered enough delegates to primary the convention endorsed candidate if they so wish.  Earlier in the week, Woodbury GOP delegates gathered with fellow US Congressional District GOP delegates in New Britain and unanimously supported George Logan.  It is way past time that our beautiful part of Connecticut return to Republican representation in Congress.  George is the man to make it happen this year.  Thanks to all the Woodbury delegates who took time off from jobs and families to get involved in taking back Connecticut from the one party rule that has made Connecticut a poor reflection of what we once were.
